A finderscope is necessary because the viewing angle of telescopes is so small due to the high magnification that it is not possible to find celestial objects. Due to the low magnification of only 6x, the 6x30 finderscope captures a larger area of the sky, making it easier to quickly align the telescope to the desired object.
The large aperture of 30mm ensures a high light intensity for even better orientation.
